Celebrate Catholic Education Week May 10-14

Dear MDY Community,

Join us in celebrating Catholic Education Week starting this Monday--especially consider wearing blue on Thursday, May 13th as we Celebrate Catholic Education Day.

The theme of this year’s Catholic Education Week, which takes place May 10 to 14, is “Those who HOPE in the Lord will RENEW their strength.” - Isaiah 40:31

This is a very fitting theme as we once again find ourselves transitioning to a period of at-home learning. Though we will all certainly miss our students, colleagues, school staff, and families during the next two weeks, we are also hopeful and optimistic that we are finally nearing the end of these incredibly trying times.

We also have so much to be grateful for: our wonderful school communities, inspiring students, dedicated staff, supportive families and, of course, the incredible gift of Catholic Education. During Catholic Education Week, let’s take advantage of the opportunity to remind ourselves of everything we love about our schools, and why we are so eager to return to them!

Students, staff, and families are once again invited to join us in celebrating Catholic Education Week by creating “Signs of Gratitude”.

Take a photo of yourself or someone you love holding a sign with a reason you are thankful for your Catholic school. Share your photos with us via Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram using #IBelieveinCatholicEd.

Photos of you, your colleagues, or your students holding the signs can be shared via your school’s social media channels using #IBelieveInCatholicEd and tagging @STARCatholic (on Twitter and Instagram) or STAR Catholic School Division (on Facebook).
